Court Hanson has been practicing as a CPA in Carmel for over 35 years and joined BBR on January 1, 2007 when his CPA firm, Hanson Rotter Green, merged with BBR. 

Over the years Court has been an instructor in Golden Gate University’s graduate program in taxation and in their under graduate program in accounting.  He has also lectured on taxation at the Monterey College of Law and before the Monterey CPE Forum which is a local group of practicing attorneys and CPAs.  His favorite area of taxation is estate, gift and individual. 

Court’s favorite non tax interests are cars, boats, history and philosophy.  He is a past president of the Carmel Kiwanis Club and a past commodore of the Monterey Peninsula Yacht Club. In addition, Court is a past commodore of the Stillwater Yacht Club, where he currently serves as treasurer.
